Salary: -100,611 per annum
Contract: 11-month fixed-term contract, maternity cover

About the Role
This is a pivotal role within our Finance Senior Leadership Team, offering the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making across the organisation.
You will lead our treasury and business planning functions, overseeing a substantial loan portfolio, managing lender and investor relationships, ensuring effective cash and liquidity management, and leading the development of our treasury strategy. You will also take responsibility for the production and ongoing development of Hightown''s 30-year financial business plan, including sensitivity analysis, stress testing and financial modelling to support informed decision-making by the Executive Team and Board.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading treasury management activities, including loans, capital borrowings, covenant compliance and liquidity management.
- Managing relationships with banks, investors and external treasury advisers.
- Overseeing the production of treasury reports for senior leadership, Board and committee meetings.
- Leading the delivery of Hightown''s annual Treasury and Funding Strategy.
- Managing the production and ongoing review of the Association''s 30-year business plan.
- Developing detailed scenario modelling and stress testing to assess financial resilience and support strategic planning.
- Leading and developing the Treasury Operations Manager and Business Planning Lead whilst contributing to the wider success of the Finance leadership team.
About You
We are looking for a commercially minded finance leader who combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication and leadership skills.
You will hold a professional accountancy qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA and have significant treasury management experience, including loans and capital market transactions.
Key Requirements:
- A professional accountancy qualification, such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Strong treasury management technical knowledge.
- Experience negotiating complex loan and capital market documentation.
- Excellent financial analysis and financial modelling skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capability, including managing complex financial models.
- Strong leadership skills with experience motivating and developing high-performing teams.
- The ability to communicate complex financial and treasury matters to senior stakeholders and Board members.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Experience within the housing association sector, treasury qualifications such as those from the Association of Corporate Treasurers, and experience of business planning and stress testing within a housing environment would be advantageous.
