Share this JobAccess Talent Group are looking for a Traffic Engineer for a dynamic and innovative Transport consultancy. They have extensive experience in working within the transport industry, understanding the needs and requirements of clients to deliver high-quality successful projects. With a growing pipeline of new projects and clients, we are now looking to expand our design team to support our development and growth. Our team handles a busy annual programme of works including the design of on and off-street parking projects and Parking Strategies for a wide range of clients located throughout the UK. You will join a vibrant and experienced team that has successfully delivered a variety of projects.Responsibilities:Able to supervise a team of junior engineers, technicians, and/or graduatesAssist with training, undertake Quality Assurance and coordinate the workload of junior team membersSound knowledge and experience of designing and implementing traffic and parking schemes in line with relevant legislation and guidanceEffectively manage projects to time and budgetExperience liaising with stakeholders including public, local stakeholders, client officers and elected representatives such as MPs and Council Members on parking or traffic-related mattersKnowledge of other parking-related tools such as Parkmap and Signplot would be advantageousEnsure all project files are up to date and comply with the QA system and assist in developing improved procedures in the service area.Liaise with other staff on wider projects, assisting other disciplines on projects to expand skill set and knowledge baseRespond to client and customer enquiries, taking messages when necessary and ensuring that their needs are metCandidate Profile:Relevant Degree or HND/HNC (preferably in engineering) or equivalent qualification/sConsideration given to significant relevant experience in lieu of specified education and professional qualification.Preferably a minimum of 5 years relevant experienceSound understanding of highways and traffic engineering techniques and principles.A track record or ability to demonstrate experience and knowledge in active travel projectsExperience in highways related AutoCAD design highly desirable, or similar design-based softwareFamiliarity with TMA 2004, DMRB, MfS and the Traffic Signs Regulations and Traffic Signs ManualsBenefits:Company Pension25 days annual leave + Bank HolidaysContinuous training and developmentYearly professional membership of your choicePlenty of company organized social functions
