Business Development Manager - Fire & Security

Location: Manchester / Liverpool
Salary: -30,00060,000 DOE - negotiable for the right candidate

We are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join an established fire and security business, covering the Manchester and Liverpool areas.

This is an opportunity for a commercially minded individual with experience in the fire and security industry to develop new business, build relationships with local clients and generate new contracts across the region.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the local market and, ideally, an existing network of contacts they can leverage to help grow the business. Experience securing local contracts is particularly valuable, rather than a background focused solely on managing large national accounts.

• Identify and win new business opportunities across Manchester, Liverpool and the surrounding areas.
• Develop relationships with local businesses, end users, contractors and other relevant contacts.
• Generate leads and convert opportunities into new contracts.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and develop long-term customer relationships.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth handover of new business.
• Keep up to date with local market activity, competitors and potential growth opportunities.

• Previous business development or sales experience within the fire and security industry.
• A good understanding of fire alarms, security systems and associated services.
• A proven ability to generate new business and win contracts.
• Strong local knowledge of the Manchester and Liverpool markets.
• An existing network of regional contacts would be a significant advantage.
• Commercially driven, confident building relationships and comfortable developing new opportunities.
• Able to work independently and manage your own pipeline.
