Company and Project: A successful tier 1 main contractor operating across Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and the surrounding region are currently looking to grow their commercial team with a Senior Quantity Surveyor.Our client has a busy order book and especially in the local market across multiple sectors including Defence.The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be working on projects in the Defence sector valued at c 2m- 10m, with a pipeline of future work including larger projects valued over 50m.Duties and Responsibilities:Leading end-to-end supply chain procurement, including scope definition, subcontractor selection, and tender reconciliation.Managing project budgets throughout the design phase in line with strict client constraints.Proactively identifying cost-saving opportunities and alternative construction methods without compromising quality or compliance.Quantifying and managing commercial risks tailored to defence and sensitive site environments.Coordinating with the design team to manage subcontractor fees and design liabilities.Carrying out day-to-day commercial management, including measurements, valuations, payment applications, and account reconciliations.Administering subcontract orders and ..... full job details .....
