The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
• Support pupils with autism, communication difficulties and learning disabilities.
• Help deliver engaging and adapted learning activities.
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and social development.
• Build trusting relationships and provide consistent support throughout the school day.
• Work closely with teachers and other support staff to meet individual pupil needs.
• Encourage independence and celebrate pupils'' progress.

The Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant

• Have experience working with children or young people with SEN, although transferable experience will also be considered.
• Are patient, empathetic, resilient and proactive.
• Have a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
• Can build positive relationships and adapt their approach to individual pupils.
• Are reliable and committed to ongoing work.
