Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and committed History Teacher to join one of our valued clients based in Islington. This role would be a 1 yr Maternity cover starting in April 2026

You will be teaching History across Key Stages 3 & 4, delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a strong understanding of historical events and themes. The successful candidate will be expected to plan and deliver high-quality lessons, assess student progress, and contribute to the collaborative ethos of the Humanities department.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential
• Experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4 (applications welcomed from ECTs)
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for History education
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Commitment to student progress and achievement
