You will plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons that meet the diverse needs of secondary-aged pupils, many of whom have complex needs and trauma backgrounds. A holistic, therapeutic approach is central to this role, supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
Key responsibilities- Deliver creative, inclusive, and differentiated lessons
- Use assessment to track progress and adapt teaching strategies
- Support pupils using trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning
- Work closely with teaching assistants and specialist staff
- QTS or QTLS
- Experience teaching in a secondary setting
- Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND and challenging behaviour
- Strong understanding of behaviour management and adaptive teaching
- Resilient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting vulnerable learners
