An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well-established independent travel agency based in North London.

My client is seeking an experienced Travel Consultant with previous travel sales experience.

This role will suit someone with a proven Travel Agency background or tour operator, with excellent experience using a GDS.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Liaise with clients in person, by telephone and by email, handling enquiries through to confirmed bookings.
• Research, cost and quote wide variety of worldwide travel itineraries
• Working in a branch, with a small team of travel consultants
• Issue air tickets and process bookings accurately through Amadeus, Galileo and LMS.
• Selling additional products and services, such as car hire and travel insurance.
• Accept and process customer payments by cash and card, and record every transaction accurately.
• Carry out BSP and ticketing administration and liaise with airlines, operators and suppliers.
• Maintain complete and accurate customer and booking records.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Proven travel experience within a retail
• Proficiency in Amadeus and Galileo, with sound fares and ticketing knowledge (experience of LMS an advantage).
• Familiarity with BSP and ticketing administration.
• Confident client liaison, strong customer service, accuracy and numeracy, including cash handling.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

PACKAGE:

• A very competitive basic salary of -27,500 - -33,000 (Depending on experience)

HOURS:

• Monday - Friday: 9am - 6:00pm
• Saturday: 10.00am to 4.00pm
• Closed Sunday''s and Bank Holidays.
