We are recruiting for an experienced Workshop Manager for our client based in the Ashton In Makerfield area.Details below:Job Title: Workshop ManagerLocation: Ashton In MakerfieldSalary: £50-52KHours - 8am-5pm Monday to FridayWorking for a supportive team within a growing business, this is a hands on role, managing a team of 8 people. You will manage and develop the fabrication workshop to optimise productivity whilst supporting the management of their repair processes.You will need previous experience in a fabrication environment, be competent in MIG and MMA welding, and have the the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Main Duties: Lead, motivate and develop the team to achieve high performanceManage the throughput of work instruction and materialsMaintain control over overtime and non-productive hoursEnsure the teams are up to date with all relevant training and certificationMaintain rigorous Health and Safety standard within the workshop zoneSupport in the assessment of repairs, advice on repair practices, assistance with repair backlogs, potential fabrication costs and solutionsProvide work instruction to the welding team and administratorProvide well documented cost information to finance and payrollSupport Procurement in the inspection of equipment for compliance with quality standardsProvide workshop performance information to Head of Fleet and PricingBuild relationships with Engineers, GM s and other workshops to ensure the value of the unit is maximised
