The Contracts Manager in Walsall, West Midlands, will lead shopfitting upgrades, retail refits and standalone projects for a food retail client. Working closely with senior management in a family-run commercial facilities management business, you''ll own multiple projects from initial enquiry through to commercial close-out.

The Role

As the Contracts Manager, you''ll:

• Review client requirements and drawings, conduct site surveys and develop scopes of work.
• Prepare quotations and tenders, assessing and negotiating supplier and subcontractor prices.
• Plan projects, coordinating labour, subcontractors, materials, plant and deliveries.
• Produce and review RAMS, ensuring project health and safety requirements are met.
• Control project costs and variations, keeping work on programme and within budget.
• Liaise with clients and store teams, managing snagging, handover and commercial close-out.

• Experience in shopfitting, retail fit-out, refurbishment, commercial fit-out or retail construction.
• Experience managing projects from enquiry and tender through delivery and commercial close-out.
• Commercial awareness and experience in estimating, quoting or tendering.
• Ability to read drawings, manage subcontractors and produce or review RAMS.
• Strong organisation and confidence working directly with clients and site teams.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Ideally, experience in live retail environments, particularly food retail or supermarkets.
• SMSTS, SSSTS, CSCS, IOSH or similar qualifications would be advantageous.

• Salary from £50,000 per annum, depending on experience and suitability.

• Permanent, full-time position based in the Walsall office with regular site visits cover locations from South Yorkshire to Cheltenham.
