One day you could be supporting students in a large secondary school in Cwmbran, the next day working in a school in Pontypool or Blaenavon. Supply work offers the chance to build your experience across a variety of settings, develop your classroom management skills and discover the schools that suit you best.
For those seeking greater consistency, we also work with schools offering long-term placements where you can become an established member of staff and make a lasting impact.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
* Deliver pre-planned lessons during teacher absences
* Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
* Manage behaviour effectively and confidently
* Support students to remain engaged and focused throughout lessons
* Adapt quickly to different school environments
* Follow all safeguarding and school policies
What We''re Looking For
We are keen to hear from candidates who have:
* Experience working with young people in schools, colleges, coaching, youth work, training or similar settings
* Strong behaviour management skills and confidence leading groups
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A calm, resilient and professional approach
* The ability to build positive relationships quickly
Experience supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), behavioural needs or challenging behaviours is highly desirable.
