School Support Worker - Bletchley

We are recruiting a dedicated School Support Worker in Bletchley, supporting children and young people with autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs within a specialist educational setting.

• Pay: -16.00 per hour
• Hours: Full-time
• Contract: Temporary, with potential for ongoing work
• Start: Immediate

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to children and young people with autism and SEMH needs.
• Help pupils manage their emotions, regulate their behaviour and navigate challenging situations.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with learners who may struggle with engagement or emotional regulation.
• Use consistent approaches to behaviour support, following individual plans and guidance.

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK; unfortunately, sponsorship cannot be offered.
• Availability for a full-time position.
• Experience in support work, residential care, youth work, mental health, education or a similar setting is desirable.
• An understanding of autism, SEMH needs or behaviours that challenge is beneficial.
• A calm, resilient and proactive approach when dealing with challenging situations.
• Confidence setting boundaries while maintaining positive relationships.
• A genuine interest in helping young people develop their confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing.
