Promote recycling and waste minimization to the public. Drive council vehicles when needed. Follow Health and Safety practices and report any vehicle or equipment issues. Assist the driver in reversing the vehicle. Ensure all waste bins are placed back correctly to avoid safety issues. Use fuel cards according to Council s regulations. Provide cover for cleansing or refuse contracts as required. Check for contamination in organic waste bins when needed. Clean up any spilt material from the kerbside. Person Specifications Must Have Basic reading and writing skills. Full UK driving license. Ability to work independently and in a team. Understanding of Health and Safety, including Manual Handling. Experience dealing with customers or the public. Experience working in all weather conditions. Flexible approach to work and willingness to learn. Good fitness level for the job requirements. Good verbal communication skills. Ability to work on Saturdays, especially after Bank Holidays. Nice to Have Educated to GCSE level or equivalent. Understanding of waste/recycling operations.
