An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a newly established training and workforce development organisation with ambitious plans to support the care sector across Wales.

We're looking for a commercially minded and driven Head of Academy Operations & Development to lead the launch, development and growth of a brand-new Academy. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll take ownership of operations, training delivery, systems, stakeholder relationships, quality and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the Academy
• Oversee the rollout and development of training programmes
• Manage trainers and external learning partners
• Implement and develop systems and a Learning Management System (LMS)
• Build relationships with employers and industry stakeholders
• Drive commercial growth and business development opportunities
• Maintain high quality standards and learner outcomes
• Develop strategic partnerships across the sector

About You

• Experience in training, learning & development, workforce development or education
• Strong operational leadership skills
• Commercially aware with a growth-focused mindset
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Able to work autonomously and take ownership

Experience within health and social care would be advantageous but is not essential.

Registered Manager experience is not required.

Salary: -48,000 - -55,000 DOE
