Property Litigation SolicitorLeading law firm looking to recruit dedicated Property Litigation Solicitors for a highly sought permanent position.Gemini Recruitment

The firm is acknowledged and recommended in The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners as a top tier firm.The firm holds Investors in People Gold Accreditation, is LEXCEL, Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001-2013 accredited, and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.Litigation Department background:
Our client’s Litigation department handles a wide range of challenging and complex property dispute matters. Their team advises a broad range of clients including institutional landlords, developers and private individuals. The specialist practitioners understand the complexities of both commercial and residential disputes and tailor advice to the specific needs of their clients.Our client has expertise in the following areas:Landlords and tenant disputesDilapidationsProperty DisrepairParty Wall and Boundary DisputesProfessional NegligenceRight of Way disputesConstruction DisputesOwnership of Property DisputesResponsibilities
Report directly to Department DirectorProfessional proactive approach, strong client care skills and a sensitive and sympathetic understanding of clients’ needsResponsible for all aspects of Litigation work and, where appropriate, providing technical expertise and guidance to other team membersAbility to manage appropriate caseload types and complexitiesKey tasks include:
Boundary disputes
– resolving disagreements between neighbours about property linesLandlord and tenant issues
– dealing with rent arrears, lease breaches, eviction proceedings, and lease renewalsRights of way and easements
– advising on access rights and usage of landNuisance and trespass claims
– acting where someone’s use of their property interferes with another’sDisputes over property ownership
– handling co-ownership disagreements or claims under trustsDevelopment issues
– disputes related to property development, including restrictive covenants and planningDisrepair
– acting for landlord and tenantMortgage RepossessionsCommercial property matters
– lease related matters, dilapidations, arrears of rents, lease forfeiture
Attending clients, taking instructions and preparing casesDealing with correspondenceMaintaining accurate time costing proceduresImplementing any recommendations made by your supervisor following monthly file reviews ensuring that these are dealt with promptlyEnsuring compliance with file managementKey Skills Required
Must have a clean, valid Practising Certificate at the time of applyingCommitted team player and adapt well to new challengesProfessional with a pro-active approach; excellent client care skills and ability to deal with client matters in a sensitive manner and resolve complicated practicalitiesExcellent networking and communication skills with the ability to successfully market the Company and generate new businessExcellent analytical and organizational skillsAbility to use own initiative and sound judgmentWorking knowledge of publicly funded Litigation work and the ability to service privately funded casesHave extensive experience in dealing with Probate Litigation related workExperience in own advocacy is an advantageExcellent IT Skills – familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skillsThis list is not exhaustive and there may be other duties as reasonably required.Equal Opportunities:
