Arise Recruit is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing independent construction consultancy in Hove to recruit a talented Quantity Surveyor.

With a strong pipeline of work and ambitious growth plans, our client is looking to strengthen its Cost Management team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking consultancy renowned for delivering high-quality Cost Management, Project Management, CDM, and Building Surveying services across a diverse range of sectors.

The Role

As part of the Cost Management team, you will work closely with a broad range of clients across the South East, delivering professional quantity surveying services throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:

• Feasibility studies and development appraisals
• Cost planning and estimating
• Value engineering
• Tender preparation, evaluation, and negotiation
• Contract administration
• Management of variations and valuations
• Final account negotiation
• Bank monitoring

You will have the opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of projects while developing your technical expertise and building strong client relationships within a supportive and collaborative team.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a consultancy or professional surveying practice
• MRICS qualification or part way through APC and-actively working towards chartership
• Strong knowledge of cost management and contract administration
• Experience working with JCT contracts, with NEC contract knowledge being advantageous
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive approach and ambition to develop your career within a growing consultancy
