Are you a qualified Auditor who enjoys the technical side of audit but want to move away from the day-to-day audit workload? Do you enjoy researching and keeping up to date with changes in legislation and are keen to share this knowledge with others?

Our client are looking for someone to join their technical audit team; however this isn’t an audit position. The role is supporting the audit team, utilising your audit knowledge and research to provide technical training and support. You will have the opportunity to advise on and roll out interesting new projects including sustainability initiatives. Our client is a Top 30 firm with a strong presence within the local OMB client base but part of a leading international network offering overseas secondments. They are a strong business partner to their clients, so look to hire people who want to add value to their clients.

Responsibilities

Providing expert technical support and advice on UK GAAP, IFRS and ISA queries

Supporting staff in using CaseWare (audit and accounts software) and data analytics software

Keeping up to date with developments in IFRS, FRS 102, UK GAAP, and ISAs, and ensuring that knowledge is shared effectively across the firm

Assisting in the development and delivery of technical training to audit and accounting professionals

Identifying and creating improvements to firm process in audit and accounts

Collaborating on projects across various service lines, including ESG and Sustainability initiatives

As a Technical Audit Senior, you will be/have

ACA/ACCA/CA qualification or part qualified

Exceptional expertise with UK GAAP, IFRS, FRS 102, and International Standards on Auditing (ISAs)

The ability to interpret complex standards and apply them practically

Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

A collaborative approach, working effectively with audit teams and senior management

A Passion for technology, audit and accounts software and ESG
