School Kitchen Assistant

Remedy Education are looking for a reliable and hardworking School Kitchen Assistant to join an SEN school based in Redbridge.

This is a part-time role working every Monday and Tuesday from 10:00am - 2:00pm. The school are looking for someone who can support the kitchen team with food preparation, serving meals and maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.

Position: School Kitchen Assistant

Hours: Monday and Tuesday, 10:00am - 2:00pm
Start Date: ASAP / September roles available

Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience

The Role:

As a School Kitchen Assistant, you will:

* Support with basic food preparation and serving meals
* Assist with setting up and clearing down the dining area
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
* Follow food safety, allergy and dietary requirement procedures
* Wash up, clean equipment and keep work areas organised
* Support the kitchen team during lunch service
* Work safely and professionally within an SEN school environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

* Previous kitchen, catering or food service experience
* School, nursery or care setting experience is desirable
* A good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety
* A reliable, organised and positive approach
* The ability to work well as part of a team
* A Food Hygiene certificate is desirable
* An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
