Electrical Design Engineer - Special Purpose Machinery We''re recruiting for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering bespoke, high-speed special purpose machinery to customers worldwide. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong experience in PLC-based control systems (Siemens S7 and/or Rockwell ControlLogix) who enjoys taking ownership of complex projects from concept through to installation. The Role You''ll be responsible for electrical and pneumatic design, validating systems to current safety standards, supporting CE certification, and preparing FAT and as-built documentation. You''ll collaborate across departments, engage directly with customers, and support installations and upgrade projects globally (4-5 trips per year, approx. one week at a time). What We''re Looking For Proven experience designing electrical control systems for special purpose machinery Strong knowledge of safety control systems and validation AutoCAD Electrical experience BOM compilation and MRP uploads Understanding of machinery safety standards Confident liaising with end users to confirm specifications Desirable: SIL-rated safety circuit design andamp; risk assessments Motion/servo control system experience If you''re proactive, detail-oriented, collaborative, and looking to work on technically challenging, bespoke machinery projects with international exposure, we''d love to hear from you.
