About the Role
As a Religious Studies Teacher, you will deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 depending on your experience. Youandrsquo;ll encourage critical thinking and inspire students to explore a wide range of worldviews, ethical dilemmas, and philosophical ideas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspire: Create and deliver lessons that spark curiosity about world religions, moral philosophy, and contemporary issues.
- Support: Guide students in developing critical thinking skills and reflecting on their own values and beliefs.
- Create: Foster a classroom culture where respectful dialogue and understanding are central.
- Collaborate: Work closely with a supportive team to share resources, exchange ideas, and contribute to school life.
- Develop: Engage with professional development and mentoring opportunities to advance your teaching career, whether newly qualified or working towards QTS.
What Weandrsquo;re Looking For:
- A genuine passion for Religious Studies and a dedication to helping students explore meaningful questions.
- For ECTs: Completion or near completion of Initial Teacher Training (ITT).
- For Unqualified Candidates: A strong academic background in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or related fields, with a willingness to develop teaching skills through supported training.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive, positive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Enthusiasm for engaging studentsandrsquo; ideas and promoting their personal and academic growth.
