Are you experienced in electronics and surface mount technology? Are you hungry to grow, develop and lead a team? My cleint in near Henlow is looking for a Head of department within the Surface Mount Technolgoy team. This role is ideal for ambitous individuals who still want to be hands-on, but also want a taste of entry-level management, with endless opportunities for growth and progression in the future!

Role & Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of 4 across the Surface Mount Technology team
• Oversee two production lines
• Manage work flow, material flow, and day to day activities of the team
• Monitor and report performance to senior management
• Be hands-on and solve problems when they arise
• Train and upskill the staff when needed

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Knowledge of Surface Mount Technology and experience in Electronics
• Drive and ambition to grow with the business
• Experience of leading a team, supervising or showing leadership qualities- either as a hobby, within education or at work!
