BDS are recruiting for an experienced housing support worker in Lincoln to provide high quality housing related support to a wide range of people with complex needs and ex-offenders who- are experiencing difficulties in securing and sustaining their homes and living independently in the community.

Duties and responsibilities

• Engage with referral agencies including local authority central access points/ gateway services, statutory and voluntary sector agencies in order to generate referrals for the service as required.

• Carry out an initial assessment of the service user to determine eligibility for the service.

• Design and deliver an effective support plan with the service users referring to specialist agencies as applicable.-

• Maintain contact on a regular basis with service users in accordance with the requirements of the service

• Support service users to engage in meaningful constructive activities to make effective use of their time and develop their confidence and skills.

• Deliver practical life skill sessions, programmes with service users as required.

• Maintain up to date records and produce relevant reports as required.

Criteria:

• Must have experience of working in floating support and working with complex needs and offenders.
• Must have experience lone working
• Car driver essential
