About the Role Linear Recruitment are looking for a Temporary Mechanical Design Engineer to help design and deliver engineering solutions for water and wastewater treatment projects. You will work on equipment such as pumps, pipes, valves, tanks and process plant, making sure designs are practical, safe and suitable for installation on site. You will work closely with civil, electrical and control engineers to ensure all parts of a project work together properly. You will also support projects during construction, testing and handover. Key Responsibilities Design mechanical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants. Produce engineering drawings, layouts, calculations and equipment specifications. Design and review pipework, pumps, valves and tanks. Prepare and interpret PandIDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and general arrangement drawings. Work with civil, electrical and control engineers to coordinate designs. Check that designs meet relevant standards and safety requirements.
