Finance Assistant

Job Title: Finance Assistant Reports to: Financial Controller About the Role We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our busy finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in finance processes, including cost tracking, payroll administration, pension support, and purchase ledger responsibilities. The successful candidate will also have working knowledge of ERP systems, and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely payments, and supporting the wider finance team with core day-to-day duties. Key Responsibilities Costing: Assist with product or project costing, ensuring accuracy in cost allocations and identifying variances. Payroll Support: Process payroll data in line with deadlines; liaise with HR and payroll providers where required. Pensions Administration: Support pension enrolment, deductions, and liaison with pension providers. Purchase Ledger: Process supplier invoices and match with purchase orders Maintain the purchase ledger, reconcile statements, and prepare payment runs Ensure accurate coding and timely resolution of queries ERP Use: Enter and maintain financial data within the ERP system; run basic reports and support reconciliations. Support month-end and year-end close processes as required. Assist the wider finance team with other administrative or reporting tasks as needed.
