The combined book value of these assets is circa 3 billion.These assets are hugely diverse and include schools, day centres, libraries and museums, children''s homes, adult residential and nursing homes, waste recycling facilities, country parks, rural landholdings, and operational farms. The County Council also owns and occupies offices, workshops, depots, and storage accommodation. It leases other commercial property to businesses and rural holdings to farmers and has responsibility for a wide range of heritage assets including listed buildings and Scheduled Monuments.The Strategic Land and Development team provides a coordinated and comprehensive planning and development service and advice to support the disposal of land and building projects of varying size.
