Prospero Teaching are looking for experienced Functional Skills Maths Tutors to work with learners across Wrexham!

The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting Functional Skills Maths Tutors to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to learners who require additional support with their Maths education.

You''ll help students develop essential numeracy skills and work towards their Functional Skills qualifications, tailoring sessions to their current ability and individual goals.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Maths teacher or tutor who enjoys helping learners overcome gaps in their education and build confidence.

Position Details:

• Location: Wrexham
• Position: Functional Skills Maths Tutor
• Hours: 5-15 hours per week
• Start Date: September 2026
• Duration: Ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience delivering Functional Skills Maths
• Strong Maths subject knowledge
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience
• Experience working with learners who have gaps in education
• QTS, PGCE or equivalent desirable
• A flexible and learner-focused teaching style

To be eligible for this role, you must:

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional references
