SEND Teaching Assistant
Empowering Learning is working with a special needs school in Long Eaton, who are recruiting for a teaching assistant to work in one of their classes. The role is to start as soon as possible.You will be involved in classroom duties and off-site recreational activities.Duties- Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for students.- Provide support to students with special needs, including those with autism.- Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.- Help students with daily tasks, such as personal care and hygiene.- Support students in their academic and social development.- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement education health care plans for students.- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher.- Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies.Skills- Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs and challenging behaviours.- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies.- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children.- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviours.- Knowledge of toddler care and development is a plus.This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to supporting the educational needs
