This Business Administrator / Team Leader Apprenticeship provides hands-on experience in office management, project coordination, and leadership development.Responsibilities
Assist with business operations, scheduling, and administrative tasksHandle customer inquiries and provide excellent supportMaintain records, reports, and company databasesOrganise meetings, take notes, and assist in project coordinationSupport the management team in implementing business strategiesLearn team leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, including use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation to write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data; examples include MS Office or equivalent packages; choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem; update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where requiredProduce accurate records and documents including emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals; make recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management; draft correspondence, write reports, review others\'' work; maintain records and files; handle confidential information in compliance with the organisation\''s procedures; coach others in the required processesExercise proactivity and good judgement; make effective decisions based on sound reasoning and deal with challenges in a mature way; seek advice from more experienced team members when appropriateBuild and maintain positive relationships within the team and across the organisation; demonstrate the ability to influence and challenge appropriately; become a role model to peers and team membersDemonstrate good communication skills in person, on the phone, in writing or on digital platforms; use appropriate channels to communicate effectively; demonstrate agility and confidence in communications; understand and apply social media solutions appropriately; answer questions from inside and outside of the organisationComplete tasks to a high standard; apply expertise to continuously improve work; review processes autonomously and suggest improvements; share administrative best-practice; coach others to perform tasks correctly; apply problem-solving skills to resolve challenging or complex complaintsTake responsibility for initiating and completing tasks; manage priorities and time to meet deadlines; manage expectations of colleagues at all levels; set a positive example; propose improvements to working practices; manage resources (e.g., equipment or facilities); organise meetings and events; take minutes and create action logs; handle logistics (e.g., travel and accommodation)Use project management principles and tools to scope, plan, monitor and report; plan required resources to deliver projects; undertake and lead projects as required; work closely with experienced managers and mentorsOpportunity for full-time employment upon completionGain valuable skills in administration, customer service, communication, and business operations while supporting companies in day-to-day managementQualifications

Salary: £11,778 for your first year, then could increase depending on ageHours: Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm; shifts may include evenings and weekends; 30 hours a weekStart date: Thursday 30 October 2025Duration: 1 year 6 months
