Field Service Engineer Location: Reading and Surronding Areas Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Reports to: Head of Service and Commissioning We''re looking for a hands-on Service Engineer to install, commission, service, and maintain our equipment at customer sites. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fault-finding, solving technical problems, and delivering excellent customer support. Key Responsibilities Install, commission, and hand over equipment and systems. Carry out planned maintenance and reactive service visits. Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently. Provide technical support to customers and end users. Conduct testing, calibration, and performance checks. Complete service and commissioning documentation. Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures. Support project delivery alongside engineering and sales teams. What We''re Looking For Essential Experience in a Service Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, or Field Engineer role. Strong electrical, mechanical, automation, or controls background. Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics. Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and customer-facing abilities. Full UK driving licence. Desirable Experience commissioning complex or bespoke equipment. Knowledge of PLCs and control systems. Industry experience in manufacturing, energy, process, or building services.
