Due to continued growth, Escape''s established engineering client is looking to appoint an experienced Buyer to join their busy purchasing team.This is a hands-on role responsible for sourcing materials and services, negotiating with suppliers, placing purchase orders and ensuring on-time delivery to support operational and build requirements. Key Responsibilities of the role:Obtain quotations and negotiate pricing, terms and delivery schedulesPlace and manage purchase orders through to deliveryEnsure materials and services are sourced cost-effectively and on timeBuild and maintain strong supplier relationshipsMonitor supplier performance and resolve supply issuesWork closely with internal teams to understand purchasing requirementsSupport sourcing and tender activities where requiredMaintain accurate data within the ERP system Experience and knowledge required for the role:Proven experience in a Buyer / Purchasing role within an engineering, automotive or maritime industryStrong negotiation and supplier management skillsComfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing prioritiesGood problem-solving skills and a proactive approachExperience using ERP or procurement systemsSupportive team player Why apply for this role:Established and growing businessVaried, operational purchasing roleYou will get to join a great, supportive team On-site role with an early Friday finish To find out more, please send your CV today!
