I''m working with a growing and forward-thinking construction consultancy based in Oxford that is looking to appoint a Senior Building Surveyor to join their expanding team.

The Opportunity
You''ll be joining a collaborative and close-knit team in Oxford, working alongside Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and fellow Building Surveyors. The business combines the support and structure of a well-established consultancy with the flexibility and influence of a growing office.
Projects are varied and high-profile, spanning sectors such as:
- Commercial
- Residential
- Education
- Healthcare
- Heritage
- Public & private sector developments
You won''t be siloed - variety and exposure are a key part of this role.
What They''re Looking For
I''m keen to speak with individuals who bring strong consultancy experience and a proactive, client-facing approach. You''ll ideally be:
- MRICS qualified (or actively working towards it)
- Experienced in delivering projects within a consultancy environment
- Confident managing client relationships and project delivery
- Ambitious and motivated to progress your career
Key Responsibilities
- Leading site inspections, identifying defects, and advising on solutions
- Producing detailed reports with clear, actionable recommendations
- Managing and delivering projects across multiple sectors
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with building regulations and H&S standards
- Maintaining high-quality documentation and professional standards
Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
- Commercial awareness with a client-focused mindset
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
- Clear and confident communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency with surveying tools, CAD, and relevant software
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Additional experience in sustainability and building performance would be beneficial but is not essential.
