Development Management Engineer Our client, a leading highways contractor, is currently looking for a Development Management Engineer to join their team, working on a major highways contract in Essex. This role will involve undertaking technical assurance of developer-designed highway schemes, ensuring new highway infrastructure and improvements to the existing network meet the requirements of the Highway Authority and are suitable for adoption as public highway.Key Responsibilities: Undertake technical assurance of developer-designed highway schemes, including new highway infrastructure and improvements to existing highways. Ensure highway designs and construction proposals meet the requirements for adoption by the Highway Authority. Support consultations with Local Planning Authorities on proposed developments. Review and agree detailed highway designs, ensuring planning conditions and obligations are met. Attend and chair meetings with developers, consultants and other stakeholders. Respond to technical and site queries in a timely manner. Liaise with internal teams, developers and external stakeholders throughout the development process.Job Requirements: Degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, or demonstrable experience within highways. Experience managing the design and implementation of highway elements of major development proposals.
