The role
As Commercial Manager, you will:
·Lead the commercial function across multiple civil engineering and utilities projects
·Manage contracts (with a focus on NEC) and ensure full compliance with contractual and commercial obligations
·Prepare, monitor, and report on budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
·Negotiate and manage relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders
·Provide expert commercial advice and support to project teams to maximise value and efficiency
·Identify risks, opportunities, and innovative approaches to add value
·Mentor and support junior staff within the commercial function
 
What''s required
To be considered for this Commercial Manager position, you should have:
·At least 5 years'' experience in a commercial management role within civil engineering or utilities
·Strong knowledge and practical experience of NEC contracts
·Excellent financial, analytical, and negotiation skills
·A collaborative, team-oriented approach
·Clear communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships
