Tutor of Arts, Humanities and Law
The purpose of the role is to deliver highly effective modules at International Foundation Year (Pre-Undergraduate or Level 3 Equivalent) level. Teaching sessions will be predominantly face to face with some online teaching also required. The Arts, Humanities and Law modules at the centre include: English Legal system English Literature; Extended Project; Geography; Introduction to Liberal Arts; Introduction to Ancient History; and Introduction to Modern History. You will join a team of Arts and Humanities tutors to deliver some of the above modules. ABOUT THE ROLE Delivering modules (face-to-face and occasionally online) to international students studying on programmes offered by the Centre and assisting with the continued development of modules. Developing modules from module specifications. This will include schemes of learning along with appropriate development of learning resources. Preparing module examinations and other forms of formative and summative assessment, marking and providing feedback to students. Assisting with the development and maintenance of the Centre s virtual learning environment (VLE). Facilitating student access to same. Providing input for related modules to the annual review and reporting process Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date record of student attendance and performance Providing, when/if required, academic learning support to a small number of students Participating in regular meetings with teaching and support staff.
