6 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.Direct message the job poster from Arbuthnot YonOur client is one of the world''s largest independent investment management firms that serves an institutional client base in over 60 countries.This client is looking to hire a lawyer on an interim basis initially for 6 months (but this may well be rolled on) to join their EMEA Legal team based out of London.What will the role involve?Support the review and negotiation of agreements and legal documents with clients (e.g. investment management agreements (IMAs)) and business partners (e.g. distribution agreements);Advise on licensing and client regulatory issues across EMEA jurisdictions in coordination with Compliance;Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on business operations;Work closely with other members of the Global Legal team and with Compliance, Business, and Operations teams.What skill-sets are we looking for?A qualified lawyer with

2–4 years’ PQE ;Solid experience in IMA contract review and negotiation;Experience with

cross-border legal issues ;Basic understanding of

financial services regulation, particularly in relation to asset management or investment advisory.What softer skill sets are we looking for?Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills;Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.Strong commercial acumen and collaboration skills.Our client provides a collegiate, stable and supportive environment in which to work. This is a newly created role due to increasingly workload, for an initial term of 6 months, and for the right candidate will most likely be rolled on as there is plenty of work down the pipeline.
