A fantastic opportunity has become available for a qualified and resilient primary school teacher to join a large, Ofsted-rated ''Good'' school in Chatham. This is a full-time position starting ASAP and running until the end of the academic year. About the Role:
The school are seeking a compassionate and vibrant teacher to take on a Key Stage 1 class. The class consists of children of varying abilities and some children with SEND, so a teacher with extensive experience of supporting students with a range of SEND is desirable. As the class teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, managing behaviour effectively, and fostering an inclusive, stimulating learning environment. You will be expected to take on full teaching responsibilities, including planning, assessment, and participation in school activities. Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching: Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum, creating a positive and dynamic learning environment.
• Assessment: Monitor and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback and tailoring support to meet individual needs.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a respectful and inclusive classroom, using effective strategies to manage behaviour and encourage cooperation.
• Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure the academic and personal development of your students.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and school policies.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or 2.
• Be adaptable, proactive, and confident in managing a class and curriculum responsibilities.
• Be passionate about creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Be local to the Sittingbourne area or willing to commute.
• Hold a valid, up-to-date DBS or be willing to obtain one.
