Housing Options Officer
My client is seeking a proactive and compassionate Housing Options Officer to join our Housing Services team. In this rewarding frontline role, you will provide high-quality housing advice, homelessness prevention support, and case management services to residents in housing need.This is a hybrid working role with a strong hourly rate to match. You will work closely with applicants to assess their circumstances, explore all available housing options, and implement tailored solutions that promote sustainable housing outcomes. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive housing advice in line with the Housing Act 1996 (as amended by the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017)Assess homelessness applications and determine statutory dutiesDevelop and manage Personalised Housing Plans (PHPs)Negotiate with landlords, agents, and support services to prevent homelessnessManage a caseload of clients with varying and often complex needsMaintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policiesWork collaboratively with internal departments and external partnersAbout You Experience in housing options, homelessness, or a related advisory roleStrong knowledge of housing legislation and welfare benefitsExcellent communication and negotiation skillsThe ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlinesEmpathy, resilience, and a solution-focused mindsetStrong IT and case management skillsIf you are have experience within Housing Options and are keen to get into your
