Staff System Validation Engineer

Are you an experienced electronics or systems engineer looking for a senior technical role within an innovative, high-growth technology business?

I''m working with an exciting semiconductor company based in Fareham that is looking to strengthen its engineering team with a Staff System Validation Engineer.

This is a senior position offering the opportunity to take technical ownership across multiple teams, working on the integration, validation and development of advanced touch technologies used in consumer electronics.

You''ll play a key role in ensuring products are successfully integrated into customer devices, providing technical support to global customers and helping shape future product development.

The Role

• Lead the integration of products into customer devices, ensuring successful technical implementation.
• Provide technical support to customers remotely and onsite, including international travel.
• Act as a key technical interface between customers and internal engineering teams.
• Support regional application teams with technical guidance and product knowledge.
• Participate in product development, testing and validation activities.
• Design and develop hardware tooling to meet internal and external customer requirements.
• Gather customer feedback and influence future product development.
• Coordinate project tasks, planning and technical deliverables.
• Produce technical documentation and provide project status updates.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and mentor engineers to support their development.

What We''re Looking For

• A degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a similar relevant discipline.
• Strong understanding of fundamental electrical and electronic principles.
• Experience with Python scripting.
• Experience in electronic circuit design and prototype development.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing technical engineering role, ideally working with international customers.
• An understanding of software development.
• Experience with capacitive touch technology would be a significant advantage.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across different engineering teams.
• Comfortable taking technical ownership, working autonomously and providing guidance to others.
• Willingness to travel internationally when required.
