Echelon Engineers are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join a dynamic manufacturing team. You''ll be responsible for producing high-quality 2D and 3D technical drawings using SolidWorks, working closely with production, engineering, and sales teams to deliver solutions that meet business requirements. Key Responsibilities: Create detailed manufacturing drawings from 3D models, including fabrication and assembly drawings Generate and manage Bills of Materials within the company ERP system Maintain and update drawings and parts databases with current revisions Ensure all drawings meet quality standards and relevant directives Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to optimise designs Adhere to company procedures, quality assurance protocols, and HandS regulations Essential Requirements: Proven experience as a Draughtsman/Design Engineer in a manufacturing environment Strong steelwork fabrication background HNC or equivalent in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD Excellent organisational and communication skills Proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail What We''re Looking For: A creative, flexible team player who can work efficiently under pressure and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
