What you''ll be doing...As a
Restaurant Supervisor
in a hospital restaurant setting, you will support the daily running of a busy catering operation that serves patients, NHS staff, and visitors. Working under an NHS contract, you will help ensure the smooth delivery of high-quality, safe, and welcoming food service while supervising a team to maintain excellent hygiene, service standards, and operational compliance.Supervise front-of-house operations to ensure efficient and friendly service to all customers
Lead and support a team in delivering high standards across food service, cleanliness, and presentation
Ensure all food safety, health and safety, and NHS contractual standards are met
Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance monitoring
Handle customer queries or concerns professionally, escalating when necessary
Support stock control, ordering, and daily reporting requirements
Maintain a clean and safe environment in line with infection prevention and control guidelines
Collaborate with kitchen and management teams to meet service deadlines and quality expectations
Working pattern: 5 days out of 7 / 37.5 hours per week / 7.5 hour shiftsWhat can you bring?
Experience in a supervisory role within a food service or catering environment
Understanding of NHS or healthcare catering standards (desirable but not essential)
Strong customer service skills with a calm, professional approach
Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations (Food Safety Level 2 required)
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a busy, fast-paced environment
Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills
A positive attitude and commitment to providing a safe and welcoming service to all
