Hales Group are recruiting for a Plant Operative on behalf of a well-established manufacturing and processing business based in Ipswich.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and reliable individual to join a busy operational team. The successful candidate will support day-to-day plant activities including stock management, product blending, loading operations, and general site maintenance. The role would suit someone with experience in a manufacturing, production, warehousing, or industrial environment who takes pride in working safely and maintaining high operational standards.
Main Duties

• Loading and unloading bulk vehicles
• Operating site plant and equipment, including FLT
• Carrying out product blending and processing activities
• Monitoring stock levels and completing accurate records
• Preparing dispatch paperwork and supporting logistics operations
• Assisting with routine maintenance and housekeeping duties
• Reporting equipment faults, incidents, and safety concerns
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Supporting the wider team with day-to-day site operations

Skills & Experience Required

• Valid Forklift licence (Counterbalance or telehandler)
• Experience within a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic computer literacy
• Proactive and reliable approach to work
• Strong awareness of health and safety
• Full UK driving licence preferred
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
