Graduate Teaching Assistant Immediate start until July 2026 £81 - £102 per day ''Good'' primary school, Ward of Yardley Provide 1:1 and small group intervention sessions in KS2The Role:The appointed Graduate Teaching Assistant will support KS2 pupils through short, structured intervention blocks in reading, writing, and maths. You will deliver 1:1 and small group sessions linked to classroom learning, so pupils practise the same skills taught in lessons, with tighter focus and higher repetition. You will use clear modelling, guided practice, and rapid checks for understanding to spot misconceptions early and tighten next steps. In reading, you will build fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension through targeted questioning and evidence-based answers. In maths, you will reinforce core number skills and reasoning, breaking tasks into small steps and pushing accuracy. You will record brief outcomes from each session and feed back to the class teacher, so support stays aligned to assessment priorities and groupings change when pupils secure the skill.
