Our team of Paediatric Site Practitioners offer 24/7 cover across our wards, supporting with the assessment and management of acutely unwell and deteriorating paediatric patients, escalating as appropriate into HDU/PICU.As a Paediatric Site Practitioner, you''ll provide a visible clinical presence around the site, acting as a role model and expert practitioner. We''ll look to you to use your advanced nursing skill to co-ordinate resources and work closely with on-site Duty Managers.Day-to-day you''ll be involved in the in the PICU step-down process, admissions via outpatients and urgent care centre and support with bed allocation as a key member of the Clinical Emergency Team.Out of hours, you''ll be part of Paediatric Hospital at Night Team to ensure a timely and appropriate response to patients'' needs. You will also be expected to support the ward staff with challenging situations. It''s a varied role, where a wide range of clinical skills and good communication are key.
