We are looking for a skilled Painter and Decorator to join a Works team, carrying out high-quality decorating work across a diverse estate. Working on a varied range of projects, you''ll undertake both routine maintenance and specialist conservation work, using traditional and modern decorating techniques to achieve the highest standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare a wide range of surfaces, including sanding, filling, cleaning and priming. Apply a variety of finishes including emulsions, gloss, varnishes and specialist coatings. Carry out high-quality internal and external painting and decorating. Install wallpaper, specialist wall coverings and decorative finishes. Undertake sensitive restoration and redecoration of heritage and listed buildings. Use traditional materials such as lime-based paints and distemper where appropriate. Follow conservation specifications to protect and preserve historic features. Work carefully around architectural details including cornices, mouldings, sash windows and timber panelling. Carry out decorating works within modern buildings and refurbishment projects using contemporary materials and spray techniques. Comply with all health and safety legislation, including COSHH and Working at Height Regulations. Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment. Liaise professionally with colleagues, contractors and other trades.
