Our client, a well-established and forward-thinking engineering consultancy, is looking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team in central Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong and motivated individual to play a key role in the delivery of high-profile projects across Scotland and beyond.

The Role:
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering innovative and robust structural designs, primarily focused on concrete structures. You will work across a diverse portfolio including sustainable residential schemes, commercial offices, hotels, retail units, and logistics hubs. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the overall growth and technical excellence of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and delivery of structural engineering solutions on multi-million-pound projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure design quality and efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Engage in project planning and coordination from concept through to completion.

Requirements:

• Solid experience in structural engineering with a strong focus on concrete design.
• Proficient in using Tekla software.
• Strong understanding of UK building codes and industry standards.
• Ideally Chartered with IStructE or ICE (or working towards chartership).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
