We are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Watford known for its inclusive ethos and commitment to supporting both students and staff. The school values creativity, practical learning, and innovation, and is seeking a passionate Design Technology Teacher to join the team from September 2025.

The Role
You will teach Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, with KS5 experience considered a bonus. Subject areas may include product design, resistant materials, graphics, and CAD/CAM. The role involves planning engaging lessons, supporting students in developing practical skills, and ensuring a safe and well-organised workshop environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver creative and engaging DT lessons
- Encourage hands-on learning through diverse design and manufacturing projects
- Monitor and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in the workshop
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery
- Take part in wider school activities and responsibilities
Candidate Profile
- QTS or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
- Experience teaching DT at secondary level
- Strong knowledge of the DT curriculum and workshop safety
- Creative and practical teaching style
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
