Your new company Hays Accountancy and Finance are partnering with a public sector organisation to recruit an experienced Management Accountant for an initial 3-6 month assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to step into a key role supporting financial planning, reporting and business partnering activities within a complex and fast-paced environment.Your new role Working as part of the finance team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality management accounting support and ensuring timely financial information is available to support decision-making.Key responsibilities include:Production of monthly management accounts for both Exchequer and Lottery-funded activities.Forecasting expenditure through to year-end and providing accurate financial projections.Preparing detailed budgetary reports for budget holders and supporting them through effective business partnering.Developing a strong understanding of the CIVICA accounting system and utilising it to support financial reporting requirements.Identifying opportunities to streamline and improve management accounting processes and controls.Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities as required.Providing financial insight and analysis to support operational and strategic decision making.What you''ll need to succeed To be considered, you will ideally have:Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).Previous experience producing management ..... full job details .....
