An excellent opportunity for an Estimator has become available to join a reputable Construction Company based in Aberdeen. Reporting to the Estimating Manager you will be responsible for preparing, producing and submitting tenders for Commercial and Residential projects. You will be joining a company who are winning regular contracts which looks to continue into the future. Main Duties: Prepare and submit competitive tenders. Obtain materials and subcontractor quotations. Prepare take offs from tender documents received. Organise and track market price of equipment, material and construction costs. Review tender documentation, in order to prepare accurate cost estimation. Prepare handover documentation for successful projects and attend internal pre-start meetings. Attend tender adjudication meetings and tender interviews where required. Support/mentor/train Estimating team members as assigned. Supervise work of Estimating team members as assigned. Provide cover for the Estimating Manager in his/her absence. Follow all health and safety guidelines. Essential: Experience in an Estimating role within the construction industry. Competent working on projects ranging between 50k to 20million. Demonstrate knowledge of bills of quantities including method of measurement. Demonstrate excellent numerical skills to calculate costs. Strong time management skills. Demonstrate in depth knowledge of budget control. Salary: DOE
