Job Title: Interim Best Interest AssessorLocation: Dudley, HybridRates: 39.24 per hour (Umbrella) 30.00 (PAYE)Duration: 3 Months (initially) Job RoleAs an exemplary practitioner, provide leadership and professional knowledge to colleagues; promote innovation, model and facilitate reflective practice. To be responsible for undertaking complex statutory assessments, as an independent professional, in accordance with the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards code of practice. You will make recommendations on whether a person is deprived of their liberty, and if so, is it in their best interests. Demonstrate the ability to collaborate and manage complex multi-agency and non-professional relationships in a manner that helps mediate conflict to ensure the needs of the individual are at the centre of all activity. Challenge other professionals, as applicable, including Consultant Psychiatrists and members of the legal profession, in line with professional values and behaviours and the principles of the Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding principles enshrined in the Care Act. To demonstrate professional curiosity and forensic skills of interrogating information quickly and concisely and ensure individuals'' Human Rights are protected. Provide professional expert guidance and training as required to the rest of Adult Social Care and their partners around the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards in Practice.
