Our client is an industrial processing business, part of a larger group, with multiple sites in the UK. They are looking for a proactive and driven Site Engineering Manager to lead and develop their engineering team.Role and Responsibilities:Managing a team of 14 peopleEnsure that the engineering department complies with health and safety and hygiene standardsManage the engineering operation in line with KPI and budgetary targetsCreate and monitor staff training and development plansConduct team reviews, appraisals, disciplinaries, return-to-work meetings, and holiday managementManage contractor activity, liaise with engineering suppliers, and oversee ordering of spares and inventory controlBe the point of contact for out-of-hours support to engineers when neededImplement continuous improvement plans and promote lean manufacturing incentivesReview plant performance regularlyKnowledge, Skills and Experience:Must be an experienced engineering managerFocused individual on team development and performance plansFlexible and available for support when neededExperience in high-speed/volume manufacturing industryAble to run an engineering department that meets group-level standards and KPIsSupplier management and inventory control experienceHealth and safety management experienceIdeally NEBOSH qualifiedTime-served engineerBudget control and forecasting experienceApproachable and confident man-managerApplication Process:
